MARKET OUTLOOK FILTER
With as many Strategy Levels and Groups displayed as required, clicking on the Market Outlook filter will;
- cause the cube to rotate to its default position with the bullish strategies above the middle of the prism, and the bearish strategies below the middle of the prism.
- display those strategies with a neutral Market Outlook.
By dragging the filters up (Bullish) and down (Bearish), the corresponding strategies will be displayed.
Note, this is an generalised position, and the degree to which these strategies reflect the Market Outlook will depend upon the relative strike prices of the legs, amongst other considerations.
MARKET VOLATILITY FILTER
With as many Strategy Levels and Groups displayed as required, clicking on the Market Volatility filter will;
- cause the cube to rotate to its default position with the increasing volatility strategies to the left of the prism, and the decreasing volatility strategies to the right of the prism.
- display those strategies with a neutral Market Volatility.
By dragging the filters left (Increasing Volatility) and right (Decreasing Volatility), the corresponding strategies will be displayed.
Note, this is an generalised position, and the degree to which these strategies reflect the Market Volatility will depend upon the relative Implied Volatility of the legs, amongst other considerations.
DEBIT /CREDIT FILTER
With as many Strategy Levels and Groups displayed as required, clicking on the DEBIT / CREDIT filter will;
- cause the cube to rotate to its default position.
- display those strategies which could have Either a Net Debit or Net Credit.
By dragging the filters up (Greater Debit) and down (Greater Credit), the corresponding strategies will be displayed.
Note, this is an generalised position, and the degree to which these strategies reflect the extent of a Credit or Debit will depend upon the relative premiums of the legs, amongst other considerations.
CONSTRUCTION
The default is for this to be hidden. For clarity, the arrows will not display when all of the Strategy Levels are selected, the home view and by selecting All Strategies.
By clicking on the Construction arrows, the legs involved in the construction of the strategy are displayed.
Hovering over the desired Strategy will highlight the arrows emanating from the component Primary Strategies. Note, these are relative positions of the legs in terms of moneyness.
By clicking on the Construction arrows a second time, the construction of the strategy is displayed using a possible synthetic, IE the combination of primary and secondary strategies that would essentially produce the same payoff diagram (risk-reward profile) but not necessarily mimic the strategy entirely.
